Rainy mountain blessings

The path it calls, invites and beckons.  It sings a song of praise.  For new discoveries and haunting memories of sunny and carefree days.

The evening lights so warm invites “Come in and stay awhile.   Come sit a spell and we will talk and laugh alot and smile.  For falling rain and mist is wet and inside is so cozy.  And when we’re warm and contented be we’ll feel so nice and dozy.

But I am loving this gift from God.  This quiet is compelling.  It fills a void withing my soul with love beyond the telling.  So out I’ll linger here awhile.  I’ll smile and weep and dream.   For God is big and has great plans beyond my wildest schemes.

You Thief!

Standard

Once upon a time there was
A momma who had a little girl
Who had a little girl.
Who would grow to bless
to confess to jest and wrest.
Yes wrest she did though kindly and sly.
She sought without thought
To steal not to buy.
To steal she did and though
Without malice
she holds our dear hearts like a
God given chalice.
And into our hearts you pour
out your soul.
Dear one, your love makes
Everyone whole!

Wistful wisteria

Standard

image

Wistful wisteria when did it all begin?  When did you creep across the fence and claimed a part of mine?  Did your home not see so lively or did you need a change?  Or was my boy in need of warmth that you could so arrange?

image

Well I must admit you add a touch of color to our side and there is a nice girlie thing about you.

image

But don’t hang on too tight dear girl for Mel-a-leuca is just a lad.  He needs to learn to stand tall without you.
