A slight breeze, but a whisper, a soft caress, a cooling hand.
The Infinite. Present and Eternal. There is no need to speak. No chaos or turbulence boiling and churning for You are here. My Breath. My All Sufficient One. Outside of time yet all things consist and hold together by Your decree. There is nothing hidden from You. All things are laid bare before Your eyes. There is nothing hidden that will not be exposed. You know the motives and intents of the heart. You know my heart. To do Your will, O Lord, is my bread. Speak for Your servant is listening.

StandardLabor Day fun at the lake
StandardIt was amazingly calm and the boat traffic almost zero on the lake today. A perfect day for playing on the shore and water skiing. Kris got in the water first with each of the two older kids to help them get up for their first time on real kid skies. They gave it their best shots but the water was pretty cold and it wasn’t so easy so we tried getting Kris and Adam up together but that wasn’t a good fit so Adam got up on his wake board then he drove the boat so Ken could take his turn on skies. Perfect!
Skiing was definitely a hair raising experience! lol.
Then, between runs, this adorable amphibian boat “drove” by. Isn’t that so great?!!!
Then this biker made his way around the lake. Must be quite a work out.

StandardSaved the best til last: final Tahoe treasures
StandardThe last full day of exploring and treasure hunting took us around the north shore of Lake Tahoe and into the heart of Reno, Nevada, where we haggled a beat up Stradivarius viola and case dated 1739 from a fiesty antique dealer. We haven’t a clue as to its true value but it makes beautiful sounds. When I take it to a reputable music store I’ll let you know what I found out.
Here are the awesome discoveries we found on our tour around Tahoe’s north shore.

StandardWinter on the mountain: Praising God in all seasons
StandardIts winter on the mountain. The view is better now that there are less leaves in the way. The lake level is a lot lower and foot traffic is down to just me and my husband. It is a time to bundle in warmer clothes.
It is a quiet time. It is a time to listen. Undistracted, my mind mind wanders and I am vulnerable to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Speak Lord for Your servant is listening. Am I the tree waiting to bud? Am I the lake needing a flood? You bring the seasons and make all things beautiful in their time. Thank You. Thank you.
