Graham Cooke: They exist in our soul as unredeemed features of our personality.

Standard

The thing is often we can spiritualize certain qualities and characteristics that have served us well in the world. We’ve not taken them to the Cross, and they exist in our soul as unredeemed features of our personality. It worked in the world, it should work in the church, but it’s killing people. Often these things are manifested through things like anger, impatience, or sometimes we can find it incredibly difficult just to move at a deep level of grace, mercy, kindness. Anything that stops you from fully expressing the fruit of the Spirit is an indication that there is a problem somewhere in your personality that God would like to touch.
