Interesting! I kind of feel the same and was wondering if anyone else had observed that. I sometimes say fear as manipulation has an expiration date and eventually it stops working.
I think when we become self aware enough there is also a shred of self esteem that questions the jailer. That’s a God thing that starts the journey to freedom. Maybe the image of God in us?
