Are you thirsty?

Standard

Have you ever been in a room with a lot of people, even your own family and felt alone? Perhaps you’re missing the only One who was meant to fill all the empty spaces in your heart. Jesus said I am the living water. He who has Me will never thirst again. Being thirsty is a sign of life– a prompt placed in us from God to satisfy a need to survive. It is a metaphor for the ultimate truth that we cannot survive without Living Water. Jesus said “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful for they shall be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for their is the Kingdom of Heaven.”. (Matthew 5: 3-10)

Jesus is your faithful friend. Jesus is to us wisdom. Jesus is our deliverer. Jesus is The Way. Jesus is The Truth. Jesus is The Bread of Heaven and our Living Water. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays His body down and is the Door of entry ensuring your safety from predators. He says “Come unto Me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me for I am meek and lowly of heart and you will find rest for your souls.” Do you need soul rest? Are you thirsty? What do you need God to be for you? God said in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things.” And in Jeremiah 29:11-13
“I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek Me with all your heart.
