Graham Cooke: You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be FREE.

Standard
This 4th of July weekend will look a lot different than usual for many of us, and it would be easy to look at the current crisis and feel down-cast, dwelling on everything that isn’t possible right now, rather than the things that are.

Still in all times please remember Beloved, that He is with us. Always there; ever-present and unchanging. He has given us freedom through the work of the cross and that freedom dwells inside us.

After all, everything that God is doing in your life is about your freedom. It is about your release. It is about your upgrade, your increase and your blessing. There is never going to be a situation that is not about your freedom.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be FREE.
But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh;
Rather, serve one another humbly in love.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Every fourth of July I read Galatians 5:13-15 and think about what it means to be a free person. Whatever might be different in our world right now, I am FREE and I thank the Lord every day for that freedom.
