Graham Cooke: What if the only reason we strive and struggle is because we’re in the world and we’re of the world and we’re not in the Kingdom?

Standard

Many of us have grown up in a church construct that does not understand or experience glory. It does not understand hope as a living expectation. It understands struggle. It understands striving. It thinks that it has to perform for us to be acceptable to Him. It doesn’t understand at all what Jesus cried out in Matthew 11:28-30 when He said, “Come to Me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will teach you to rest.” What is rest? No striving, no struggling. What if the only reason we strive and struggle is because we’re in the world and we’re of the world and we’re not in the Kingdom? What if the new you doesn’t strive or struggle? What if the new you rests and knows peace? What if the new you is so full of joy, you haven’t got time to be miserable or distressed?! What if?
