As I was walking up my street from my morning run I saw a young man looking at me as he was getting ready to get into his car. I smiled and asked him if he belonged to the people in the house he was parked in front of and he said yes. I responded that I thought so because he looked a lot like his dad. As we got to talking I discovered he, 23 years old, owns 2 companies, one a corporate car detailing company. I said he is like his dad in his business savvy. Tyler, my new friend, credited his dad for giving him a strong work ethic–to work hard and do his best.
As I walked away it reminded me of Any Grant’s song “My Father’s Eyes” and I asked my Father “How am I becoming more like you? I want your eyes to love the lost. I want your eyes to see the needs. I want to use the gifts and talents you have given me to help people see how really wonderful You are!”
