The foundation of every promise is the covenant that God has made with us to do us good. Let me read you something from the Bible, from the Old Testament. Listen to this (this is Jeremiah 32:30), this is God saying, They shall be My people and I will be their God, and I’ll give them one heart and one way that they may respect Me always for their own good and for the good of their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them to do them good, and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts—that means awe and respect—so that they will not turn away from Me. I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
I’m just going to kiss the Bible!
I love it when God opens His heart to us. I love it when He tells us, “Hey, this is how I see you. This is how I think about you. You’re always on My mind. You’re always in My heart. There are so many things I want to say to you, so many things I want to give you. Could you please stop messing around with the old man and just come and stand in your new man and you’ll hear everything that I want to say?
You know God—He is a talker! 🙂
