“You Are Releasing the Aroma of Heaven”
Dawn Baker

I dreamed I was with a diverse group of people, young and old, from various walks of life, but all coming together, uniting in one place, with one purpose, making Jesus known! All these people were gathered together in a big gymnasium, ready to go out, when I heard, “You are releasing the Aroma of Heaven.”

Instantly I thought, “Fragrance or aroma?” And there was explicit clarity that I heard clearly, it was, “AROMA”.

I awoke so curious about the difference in fragrance versus aroma; I had to search it out. Why would God want me to know it was aroma? Fragrance is defined as the smell or scent of something, processed ONLY through our nose. When you enter a room you smell a fragrance; for example the smell of coffee, the scent of perfume, the fragrance of Heaven.

In contrast to fragrance, Aroma is prepared and is processed through the nose AND the taste buds. Immediately I thought of the verse; “O taste and see that the LORD is good…” Psalm 34:8

It’s said that Aroma is a result of something being baked, cooked or prepared; so it’s a result of going through a process. Many of us have felt we’ve been in the furnace, in such a hot time of preparation. Being prepared is a process, it requires time, but it releases an aroma that only exists from process. Enduring process releases a sweet smelling aroma (an offering) rising up before God. Being prepared gives us a credibility, an aroma, not possible any other way.

We are coming together now, uniting, to be released to a world who will SEE HIM, smell the aroma of Heaven, taste and see HE IS GOOD; completely, perfectly, immutably, and solely GOOD!

2 Corinthians 2:15 “For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
