Humility in Prosperity and Adversity

It is said you are known by the company you keep. I want to surround myself with people that think and truly consider their lives with the perspective that: God is. God speaks to us. God shapes and purposes our lives for great things. And, as iron sharpens iron these relationships will, as I critically examine their words in light of the truth of the Bible, spur me to reach higher to become more. Here is a reblog I encourage you to consider as a springboard for deeper thinking.

Humility in Prosperity and Adversity.

  1. I have read the post you reblogged and there is so much truth and wisdom in those words. It has been my aim to always remain the same, whatever befalls me, I would not be able to live with myself if I did not aim for that on a daily basis.

  2. You are sweet and honorable in you aspirations Karen. I share your heart to be steady and resolute but sometimes I drift and find my thinking needs readjustment. Bad company corrupts good morals. If I am not constantly meditating on God’s Word and keeping company with others struggling to reach a closer more authentic walk with God I become disillusioned, irritable, resentful, and ungrateful. Thank God, Who is our Good Shepherd and Master Potter He promises to work ALL THINGS together for our good when we love Him (Romans 6:28).

Thanks so much Karen for your comments!
