A spoon full of sugar: Leaving a legacy

Standard

I am no a virtuoso at the piano but armed with 9 years of lessons, two semesters of music theory and having composed hundreds of songs to help pre-and early schoolers to memorize Bible verses I decided I had something to offer my grandchildren when it came to music lessons.

My real agenda was to spend meaningful time equipping them with a unique skill set and leave a legacy from me to them.  My first props were a bag of m&ms and the rule.   In order to get a candy they had to give their  attention at all times.  If one was wandering or not attending the other would get rewarded while the wanderer missed out.  Let me tell you this approach works!  🙂
